Juur Services is an Estonian studio led by Roland Tammemäe, working with clients in Estonia and Finland today — and remotely with anyone, anywhere. We work directly: the people who design your system are the people who build it, and the people who build it are the ones who answer when it needs attention. No account managers, no hand-offs, no layers between you and the work.
We work AI-native — using the same tools we build for clients to design, write and ship faster than a traditional agency. And we come from construction and site operations, so we understand businesses where the work is physical and the paperwork is relentless.
The name is Estonian for root: the part of a structure nobody sees, that carries everything above it. That's the part we build.
The founder
Building things since age eight.
Roland has been building with computers since he was eight, when he hand-wrote his first web page in Notepad. He went on to study informatics at TalTech and rural entrepreneurship and financial management at the Estonian University of Life Sciences — and left both early, choosing to learn by building real systems for real businesses instead.
Before Juur he spent years in construction and site operations, running crews and paperwork on live sites. That is where the obsession comes from: an eye for the one detail that breaks a system, and a need for everything to be organised well enough that it runs without anyone chasing it.
Today he leads Juur hands-on — in the design and the code, not just the meetings — and sets the way the team works: with AI as a daily collaborator, the way he expects most companies will operate within a few years.
